Cave Drawings and Campfire Conversations

Schumacher Institute - communications officer

Job description – communications officer. The Schumacher Institute is looking for someone to help us with their communications, website, administration, book-keeping, and backup financial transactions. The role would be two days (14 hours) a week and is for 15 months in the first instance. Hours are flexible, would suit someone with caring responsibilities.

SCiO has agreements in place with the apprenticeship provider Cherith Simmonds to supply suitably qualified resources for their delivery of the L7 Systems Thinking Practitioner Apprenticeship in England and to support the design and development of their programme. Hull Centre for Systems Studies hosts two high profile events; 2-3 June 2021

The Centre for Systems Studies at the University of Hull annual lecture is by Carlo Rovelli, the celebrated theoretical physicist, on the work of Alexander Bogdanov followed by a dialogue hosted by Emeritus Professor Mike Jackson. This will be followed the next day with an all-day symposium on the life, work and contemporary relevance of Alexander Bogdanov. Attendance is free - click here for more details.

ISSS Book Club

The International Society for System Science has set up a book club with the aim to explore the systems science literature in depth. Books will be read over several months, with monthly reading assignments of approximately 50-100 pages. Meetings are on the third Thursday of the month from 12:30 – 2:00 pm Eastern Time.This is en event for ISSS members only.

UK Work Opportunity for Systems Thinking Support

Northumberland County Council Public Health Team (UK) are seeking expressions of interest from individuals with experience of research and analysis using system thinking tools and approaches. The Council is due to start a community conversation in one of our towns and the situation of concern is the strengthening of communities.
